You can read any "how to get rich in real estate sales" book you want, but (with the exception of mine) you won't find anything new under the sun...am I right? Oh sure, there are always new software programs, social networks or lead generation gimmicks that may or may not have merit, but that's not what I'm talking about here.
Can I just be honest?
I know a few things about you. First, I know you have a big vision. Otherwise, why would you give up the security of say, a state job, to try and sell houses. With that big vision comes expenses, so money---prosperity, is another important component, right? Especially because we both know that the sky is the limit in this indusrty when you're good. Next, I'm betting you love people, and probably houses, too. Of all the thousands of great agents I've gotten to know over the past couple of decades, one thing is constant: they were born to serve and they derive personal pleasure from helping people with real estate.
Now if what I said above pretty much sums you up, then let's talk.
Selling real estate is not rocket science. Sure, there are more laws than there should be, way too many contracts and disclosures, and an industry "learning curve," as I like to call it, but otherwise, it's just helping people find and sell houses, right?
And with that simplicity, comes the basics. You've got to talk to people in order to make the connection, wouldn't you say? And, assuming you're a pretty nice person and can spell your name on a contract, what's not to love about you? And what's to keep thousands of clients from loving you and telling all their friends about you?
So that's really it, right? If you know the business and talk to people, you can sell houses. In fact, there is no reason why you cannot be a top producer as that's really all it takes. So what's the problem?
The problem is that there is way more behind any top producer success story than meets the eye. You will hear lots of real estate coaches say that knocking on doors and picking up the phone is what it takes, and you know what? This is partly true. The unfortunate part is they don't tell you how to love to do it, and so you don't. You procrastinate and blame your broker, or whomever seems convenient.
Well, this may sound off the wall to you, but I am going to share the three keys you need to know to create a business you once only dreamed of. I hope you keep an open mind and heart as you read this, but if not, then maybe you're not at a place in your business (or your life) where you're ready to embrace what follows:

1) You've got to manage the energy of your mind
Thoughts are things, your attitude is alive and if you don't think this is true, consider the following: How many times have you ever uttered the words, "I was just thinking of you when you called!" A few I'll bet. In quantum physics it is now a proven fact that our thoughts have an electromagnetic force that is actually, finally, measurable. Likewise, our brain waves are measurable, further proving that thoughts are "real things."

2) You've got to manage the energy of your enviroment
This is where Feng Shui comes in. Just as your thoughts are invisible energy waves that attract or repel things to or against you, the way that energy (chi') flows through your home or office has a definite physical affect on your life. I know it sounds crazy, trust me, if I hadn't seen in my own life how amazing this stuff is, I wouldn't believe it either. But let's face facts, if the Chinese have been practicing this fine art/science for literally thousands of years, there must be something to it. I see it working for or against people nearly everyday.
3) You've got to take some kind of intelligent action
Now here's the part where you do something. Unfortunately, too many agents or lenders or title people, think this means they've got to beat the street and cold call their little hearts out. I have two things that are critical for you to know if you have read this far.
First, once you master the first two keys, you really only need to take minor, easy and nearly effortless action (this is where most agents mess up....trying to do just the action without the amazing use of their own energy). And second, once you see the results of the first two keys, the action you do take comes so naturally, you won't ever again think, "Oh gosh, I hate to call people on the phone.....". In fact, you'll be so thrilled with your results that you'll be hopping out of bed in the morning like a bunny rabbit. But even better for many of you, once you master the first two keys, you won't even need to cold call....things just fall into your lap. However, that is not to say you don 't need to take some kind of action each day that is in the direction of your goals, because you do.
