The Law of Attraction Defined

Simply put, what we focus on expands. Of course, this, in and of itself, leaves plenty of room for explanation and interpretation, but basically, just recognize it for what it is. What we put our attention on is what we get more of: we think good stuff, we get good stuff. We think bad stuff, we get bad stuff.

If we are thinking about the growing stack of bills, the prospects that hang up on us, the listings that don't sell....what do you think we are focusing on? If you said "lack" and "Negative things" you should move up to the head of the class and increase your commission by at least one percent!

It's essential, as Top Producers, that we focus on the good. We must focus on the escrows that close without a hitch, the clients who make our hearts sing, and the commission checks that cause us to skip to the bank. Without getting too deep and going too far in what is intended to be a birds-eye view of things, we all exude an energy that calls to itself that which it produces. We have all heard, since the beginning of time, we reap what we sow, what comes around goes around. This is all the same thing, but maybe on steroids as we simply have refused to see it for what it really is. This law is as universal as the law of gravity, yet we constantly ignore and challenge it. Go figure.

In real estate, as agents, lenders, reps, etc. we are depending on the sale of homes to survive. And yet, you can always find that agent or that lender who just can't seem to hold single deal together. Chances are excellent that those who don't do well are not "vibrating" at a high enough frequency. If this sounds like science, it is, but if it sounds like hocus-pocus, don't fear, it's not!

On a simple level, your EMOTIONS are synonymous with your energy vibration. Ever notice how when something great happens and you feel terrific, that more and more good just seems to come into your life? And, ever notice how when one thing goes bad and then something else goes bad, and on, and on? Every hear the expression, "When it rains it pours."? This is all about the law of attraction. When something good or bad happens and we let the event cause us to be happy, or sad, or angry, we are putting that kind of energy back out into the universe.

Think of sending energy out into the universe as a mail order catalog. Now if you're thinking and feeling happy thoughts, then all is good. That means you're ordering quality events and ideas. However, when something causes you frustration and you allow it to color your feelings and your attitude, you are sending a negative order. You will begin to attract people, circumstances, and events that are in vibrational harmony with that feeling of frustration, or anger, or sadness. Does that make sense.

Since this is only intended to pique your curiosity and give you a bit of a hint on how we think, we'll stop here, for now. Just understand, you don't need to believe this stuff for it to work. Just watch, notice, and be aware: What you focus on expands and how you feel attracts.
